The "Chase" for the Sprint Cup started yesterday. There was one driver that was hit the hardest due to the chase points format and having a bad day. He was Kyle Busch. I'm neither for or against the "Chase" format, but it does really shake things up for the end of the NASCAR season. Kyle is now in eighth place after being in the points lead for most of the season and having around a 200 point lead before starting the "Chase". He and his team really deserve a lot of credit due to the fact that they stayed in the race for the whole time. There were several cars knocked out of the race due to a couple of accidents, allowing Kyle Busch to finish 34th instead of 43rd.
Congratulations go out to Greg Biffle for winning the race and moving up five spots, to third place, in the Sprint Cup standings, only 30 points out of first place. Tony Stewart also ran from the back of the pack, due to a speeding penalty of pit road, to finish eighth and move up four spots to seventh place.
It was a good race and filled with enough drama. Even though Kyle Busch is no longer in first place, I am still picking him to win the Sprint Cup championship.
